Privacy Policy

Last updated 27 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data Peptides in Lab (peptidesinlab.com) collects, why, and the choices you have. We have written it for readers in the United States, the United Kingdom and the European Union.

Short version: we do not ask you to create an account, we do not sell personal data, and we do not run advertising trackers. Our hosting provider keeps short-term technical logs, and the suppliers we link to may set their own cookies when you visit their sites.

Who is responsible for your data

Peptides in Lab is the data controller for this website. You can contact us about anything in this policy at contact@peptidesinlab.com.

What we collect

  • Server and security logs. When you visit any page, our hosting provider (Hostinger) and its content delivery network automatically process your IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the time of the request. These logs are used to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix errors, and are kept for a limited period by the host.
  • Emails you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply and keep it no longer than needed for that purpose.
  • Calculator inputs. The lab calculator runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent to us or stored on our server.

We do not knowingly collect special-category data such as health information, and we ask you not to send it to us.

Cookies

This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. WordPress sets cookies only for logged-in site administrators. Our caching system may set a technical cookie that is strictly necessary to serve pages quickly. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.

Third-party services

  • Google Fonts. Our pages load fonts from Google, which means your browser connects to Google servers and Google receives your IP address. See Google's privacy policy for how it handles this data.
  • Affiliate links. Some links to suppliers are affiliate links (see our affiliate disclosure). When you click one, you leave our site and the supplier or its affiliate platform may set cookies to record that the visit came from us. Their privacy policies apply on their sites; we do not receive your name, email or order details.
  • Search engines. If you reach us from a search engine, that search engine handles your search data under its own policy.

Legal bases (UK and EU)

We process server logs under our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website, and emails under our legitimate interest in answering you. Where we ever rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. California residents have the right to know, delete and correct personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing; we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law. To make a request, email contact@peptidesinlab.com. We will respond within the time the law requires, usually one month. You can also complain to your data protection authority, for example the ICO in the UK or your national authority in the EU.

International transfers

Our host and some third-party services may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where UK or EU data is transferred, we rely on the safeguards those providers put in place, such as standard contractual clauses.

Children

This site is a research reference for adults and laboratory professionals. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and show the new date at the top.
